Bioderma – Holy grail product that does a really good job of removing all of your makeup including your eye makeup. It doesn’t have a smell to it and it makes your skin feel good after using it. I bought multiple bottles of it from City Pharma when I was in Paris but until recently I was only able to find it online at FeelUnique.com. But Beautylish.com started carrying it in multiple sizes and sets which makes it much easier and faster to get it delivered to people in the US. I ordered mine from them last week and received it the following day. WOW!
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water – A great and a cheaper dupe to Bioderma but only available abroad. You can purchase it from FeelUnique.com
La Roche-Posay – I received this one as a bonus gift with my other La Roche-Posay purchases from City Pharma. I feel like this cleansing water did a good job of removing my makeup but it has a strong fragrance to it and I didn’t enjoy the smell of it while removing my makeup. This is available at CVS and Target in the US.
Vichy – I think this one does a good job of removing your makeup but because there are a bunch of cheaper alternatives available, I prefer those over this one. Vichy is available at CVS & Target in the US.
Nuxe Micellar Cleansing Water – This is a little bit of a treat for myself in the morning. I use it every morning when I wake up to take the grime that might have found it’s way to your face while you are sleeping. It is the most lovely rose scent to it and I love how the smell helps me start my day. It is more expensive than these other options but I don’t go through it as fast since I only use it in the morning. I have found it online at Beauty.com but Target is also starting to carry NUXE products as well.
Caudalie – This is the most expensive of the micellar waters. It is $28 for 200ml. It has a nice subtle fragrance to it that I don’t mind using in the morning to help wake me up. This travel size came in a sample set that I bought. I probably won’t repurchase it since it’s so expensive for less product than these other micellar waters.
Simple – I took this picture of these micellar waters a while ago and then a couple of months ago, Simple came out with their own cleansing water. I was so excited to finally see a US brand making a cleansing water. You could find them all over Europe but not here. I have been using the Simple one for the last couple of months and I have to say that it is a fabulous dupe for Bioderma! It is only $6.99 at Target and I’ve seen it at other drugstores: CVS, Walgreens & Rite Aid. I’ve also seen it at Bed, Bath & Beyond’s cosmetics section.
Have you tried a micellar/cleansing water before? What is your favorite brand? Have you tried the cult classic Bioderma?

I’ve been using the VICHY water for now and it is not the best on removing eye makeup. I may return to Bioderma. I do use Nuxe produts. I am obsessed with the dry scented body oil. I may try their miscellaire water. I bet it smells amazing .

Maria – I’m obsessed with the NUXE dry body oil too! It smells like going to the beach to me. Have you tried the Garnier micellar water? It’s a pretty good dupe for Bioderma for half the cost!- Melissa XX
