Have you ever eaten Romanesco? I received this yesterday in my organic vegetable delivery. I had never seen this vegetable before. It is almost alien like to me. According to Wikipedia – romanesco was discovered in Italy in the 16th century. It is kind of a cross between cauliflower and broccoli. The recipe that came with my delivery said to roast it in the oven with some olive oil, salt and pepper for 45 minutes. I will report back to you what it tastes like if I am brave enough to try this strange alien like vegetable!
