When MAC came out with their 15 pan eyeshadow palettes back in the Spring, I bought the MAC Nordstrom’s Naturals Eyeshadow Palette (reviewed here). It was a great palette with all of the top MAC eyeshadows all in one palette. So, when I was at the preview of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I discovered that they had come out with a new palette, the MAC Nordstrom’s Finest Eyeshadow Palette. Well, you know I had to pick it up to add to my MAC collection to swatch and share with all of you. I was happy to see that I only already had two of the 15 eyeshadows in the palette. These colors are great and I think that there is a nice blend of cool and warm colors and matte and satin finishes. The only one I’m not crazy about is the Carbon black color, which I have heard people either hate it or love it.
While I was there I also heard fabulous things about these three new brushes from MAC and had to give them a try. The MAC 135 Flat Powder Brush is fabulous for powder all over the face or even better for applying bronzer lightly over your face. The MAC 233 Split Fibre Eyeshadow and the MAC 234 Split Fibre Eye Blending Brush both are half natural and half synthetic which allows you to use one brush to control how much eyeshadow you put on. There is also a MAC 221 Mini Tapered Blending Brush that is on it’s way to me, but the girls at the MAC counter at Nordstrom swear by it. I will keep you updated!
What do you think about the new MAC Nordstrom’s Finest Eyeshadow Palette? Do you need it in your life? What eyeshadow palettes can you not live without?
Cheers,
