I have to admit that I find myself at Target way more than I should be. It’s where I go to pick up paper towels and walk out with a cart full of “things we really needed”. A lot of those “things we really needed” happen to be from the beauty aisles of Target. I can spend quite a bit of time in the aisles trying to see what the newest drugstore makeup release is or checking out their expanding skincare products that now include higher end products and natural products.
So, when the opportunity came to partner with Target, I of course said yes! They asked me to try out the Beauty Concierge service at one of the Bay Area locations. The Target Beauty Concierge is located in the beauty aisles of Target and he/she will be wearing a black apron and carrying a red iPad to help answer any questions you may have. Their hours are posted on one of the end caps, so you will know what days and hours they are there to assist you. The Beauty Concierge is available to all in-store guests to answer their questions about a certain product, provide makeup or skincare tips and make product recommendations for a specific beauty need.
Target carries a great selection of natural brands like Pacifica, Acure, Burts Bees, S.W. Basics, Boots Botanics, Alba Botanica, Shea Moisture, J.R. Watkins, Yes to Carrots and many more. Target is continually expanding their natural beauty products, so I headed to Target with the goal of learning more about what green and natural brands they have to offer. I wanted to see what new natural skincare and cosmetics products I could incorporate into my routine. I visited this past Monday and I met Brenda and Izenique. I asked them to tell me a little more about the natural brands that Target carried. I then asked them what some of their favorite products were from those brands. As you can see from my first picture, I was able to learn about a handful of new items that I’m excited to try out and hopefully permanently add to my beauty routine.
Here’s what I picked up and why I’m excited to try it:
ACURE Shampoo & Conditioner – There are so many natural skincare and cosmetics products out there, but I don’t see a lot of natural hair care products. These two have Moroccan Argan Stem Cell and Argan Oil to help repair and hydrate hair. At $9.99, it’s a great value for a natural hair care product.
Pacifica Indian Coconut Nectar Body Butter – Brenda told me that Pacifica’s body butters were very popular. They are natural, hydrating and smell amazing. I do have some natural body oils at home, but not natural body butters, so I’m excited to try this one from Pacifica.
Burt’s Bees Cleansing Oil – I love a good cleansing oil to take off all of my makeup as the first step in my nighttime routine. When I saw that Burt’s Bees had one that had Coconut and Argan Oils, I had to try it!
Yes to Grapefruit Toning Mist – The Beauty Concierge raved about the collection of toning mists from Yes to Carrots. I was looking for a non-alcohol mist that I could spray onto my face before applying my facial oil.
Boots Botanics Micellar Cleansing Water – I’m a huge fan of Bioderma and Simple Micellar Cleansing Water, but I’m always searching for other alternatives. Either a cleansing oil or a micellar cleansing water are must haves for me as they are the first step in my double cleanse process at night.
Boots Botanics Radiance Concentrate Serum All Bright – Who doesn’t want a serum that will help brighten your skin and give it a glow. I recently purchased the Botanics 100% Organic Facial Oil for only $8.99 and I thought I would love to try the two of these together.
Pacifica Rose Gold Brightening Primer Serum – Are you starting to see a theme? I’m trying to get rid of all that leftover pregnancy melasma on my skin that doesn’t want to go anywhere! I’m always in search of an amazing primer and in the world of natural beauty, you seem to be able to find a lot of foundation alternatives, but not a lot of primer alternatives.
The last picture is a collection of natural beauty products that are sold at Target that I already own and love. Some of the items, W3LL People, are only sold online, but most of them can be found at your local Target.
I’m excited to see the Beauty Concierge service in place at Target. It’s like having a friend with you while you are shopping. Someone that can give you great advice or tell you about the newest product or makeup trend to try. It was so nice to have this expert on all things drugstore beauty. There are a lot of experts out there when it comes to high end makeup and skincare, but not when it comes to drugstore. The Beauty Concierge is a great resource for people who might be less comfortable in larger beauty stores or department stores. It’s a no pressure environment and the Beauty Concierge is just there to assist you with a new product, a new look or even a new makeup technique.
Cheers,
