We had Landon’s fourth birthday party at 4Cats Art Studio in Potrero Hill. We have held Landon’s birthday parties at our house, at a playground and at SF Gymnastics for the previous years. We wanted to do something different and after searching the Golden Gate Mothers Group (an amazing resource for San Francisco moms) website for party ideas, I found a link for 4Cats Art Studio. It is this adorable art studio that teaches all kinds of art classes, painting and clay, to kids of all ages. We did their Clay Dragon Party – which includes a teacher teaching the kids to make a clay dragon and then they get to paint a dragon on a canvas. I was a little worried about the age of the kids 2-4 years old being able to make the clay dragons, but the teacher took them step by step through the process giving them the separate pieces of clay. She did such an amazing job with them! While the big kids did their two art projects, the littles played with pastels and paper at the front table. After the kids work on their art projects for an hour, you have 45 minutes to have a party on the front table. I would highly recommend 4Cats Art Studio to anyone looking for a different party for their kids! We had such a wonderful time and I still can’t believe that my baby boy is four years old!

I love this venue/idea… it’s like the kids get to party and learn/make something at the same time… much better than a blow-up jump house! I’ve been meaning to join GGMG and totally forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder. 🙂 (Luv all the pics!!)
Jeanne – It was a really fun place! You definitely need to join GGMG it is such an amazing community of Moms in SF. Such a great resource for questions regarding babies, preschool, nannies, everything! I joined it right after Landon was born and I have joined two playgroups – one for each bambino. Landon’s playgroup formed almost four years ago and we are all such good friends!
