One of my favorite apps on my iPhone is my Amazon.com app. It has a scan barcode feature that I use ALL THE TIME to look up the current price of a product on Amazon.com. When I am out shopping and I see a book or product that they sell in multiple stores, I will quickly open up my Amazon.com app, scan the barcode and see if Amazon.com has a better price for it. If they do and you like it, you can add it to your wish list, add it to your cart and buy later or even buy it right there from your iPhone. I used this app the other day when I was in Anthropologie and saw the Domino: The Book of Decorating coffee table book there. It was retailing for $32.00 plus tax at Anthropologie and Amazon had it for $19.75, no tax and free shipping with Amazon Prime/Amazon Mom (whole other blog post). Usually I throw a bunch of items in my “cart” and then when I get home I look over what I added and decide if I want to buy it or not. It obviously doesn’t work for everything – specifically clothing, etc., but it does work for a lot of other items. Happy Shopping!
