Convert Shoes

Left to Right: Anne, The City Sage and Randy Brewer, Owner of Convert, Amy & Carolyn, Victory with Flair, Jeffrey Campbell for Convert Shoes Women’s Shoes and J Shoes for Convert Men’s shoes.
Left to Right: I fell in love with these Jeffrey Campbell for Convert Martini shoes but they didn’t have my size, the party crowd, Jeffrey Campbell for Convert Spectator shoes and Mini Melissa shoes for the little ones.
Left to Right: Great selection of children’s shoes, J Shoes for Convert men’s shoes (Randy was wearing a pair of these), the shelves are made of recycled cardboard and my new adorable Pact socks!

Last week I was able to attend the opening party for Convert Shoes in Berkeley.  It was co-hosted by bloggers, Anne of The City Sage,  Erica of Honestly…WTF and Krystal of This Time Tomorrow.  Convert is located on 4th Street in Berkeley (which is an adorable area to explore – Bette’s Oceanview Diner, Anthropologie, CB2, ZGallerie, Crate and Barrell Outlet, Restoration Hardware, Sur La Table, Apple and a handful of delicious restaurants).  They already had a location across the street for the eco-friendly fashion, but Randy (owner) saw a need and desire from his customers to have more choices for eco-friendly footwear in a separate space.
The store is gorgeous and has a huge selection of Mens, Womens and Children’s shoes.  I was in love with the Jeffrey Campbell for Convert Women black and white Martini shoes, but they were too big and since they were only made for Convert, there was limited supply (insert big SIGH).  If you want a fun weekend adventure to get you out of your normal hood, I would definitely recommend going over to 4th Street in Berkeley and checking out Convert Shoes and Convert for some really cute and eco-friendly options.
