Bravo’s New Show: Odd Mom Out

Processed with VSCOcam with s2 preset Processed with VSCOcam with s2 preset

Mom-osa Odd Mom Out - MomitoWhen Bravo TV reached out to me to preview their new scripted comedy, Odd Mom Out, based off the novel, Momzillas by Jill Kargman, I was excited to get this early sneak peek.  I may or may not be a lover of most Bravo TV reality shows, so of course I wanted to see what their first scripted comedy.  Odd Mom Out is a show about a mom that feels like she doesn’t fit into the Upper East Side crowd and how she gracefully or not so gracefully navigates through that world.

I invited the girls over for a little dessert and cocktail preview party.  Who doesn’t need an excuse to have a girls night that involves drinks, desserts and a funny show about being a Mom?  I was lucky enough to have Minibar send us a little extra something for a party so we could make Momo-osa’s along with our wine and cocktails.  Minibar is an app that allows you to order wine, liquor or beer and have it delivered to your door in 30-60 minutes.

After a little catch up time, we previewed the two first episodes of Odd Mom Out and laughed hysterically at so many of these awkward parenting moments.  The first two episodes pulled me in and I can’t wait to watch more.  I love Jill’s character and how she is able to make fun of the absurdity of Upper East Side competitive parenting environment.  But I love even more that she is comfortable enough to make fun of herself while still be comfortable with who she is.  I also love her best friend that helps her keep things in a “realistic” perspective.

I think that all of my girlfriends agreed that we loved the show.  We loved how we could all relate to some of her different situations she finds herself in, whether it is how she parents her kids (which includes underwear dance parties) or how she tries to navigate the “Mommy” world.

Odd Mom Out airs on Mondays at 10pm on Bravo!

Be sure to let me know what you think after you watch it!

Do you have any “Odd Mom Out” moments, let me know about them in the comments below?

Cheers,
